Sazerac

Ingredients

• —2.5oz rye whiskey
• —.25oz simple syrup (or sugar cube)
• —3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
• —absinthe rinse

Method

1. 01.

   Place all ingredients into a mixing glass

2. 02.

   If using a sugar cube muddle it with the bitters first then add the rest of the ingredients

3. 03.

   Stir with a bar spoon until chilled

4. 04.

   Rinse an old fashioned glass with absinthe

5. 05.

   Strain chilled drink into the freshly rinsed glass

6. 06.

   Garnish with a lemon twist
